Who it fits
Good fit for
This guitar suits absolute beginners who want a complete, ready-to-play package. The 39-inch scale length and slim neck help smaller hands manage frets easily. You will appreciate the included 5W amp with a headphone jack for silent practice. The SSS pickups provide clear tones for country, blues, and funk styles. If you need a portable solution with a gig bag and tuner, this kit delivers. It is ideal for home practice or casual jamming without complex setup.
Who should skip it
Experienced players should skip this option. The 39-inch scale and beginner-focused SSS pickups lack the depth and versatility for advanced techniques. The 5W amplifier is basic and not suitable for live performance or high-gain tones. If you require premium hardware, complex electronics, or a full-size 25.5-inch scale, this kit is too limited. The included accessories are functional but not professional-grade. You would be better served by a standalone instrument from Leo Jaymz's premium line.
Verdict: The Leo Jaymz Rookie Series is a practical, all-in-one starter kit for beginners. It offers essential specs and accessories to help you start playing immediately.
Key specs for this kit
Pickup Configuration: SSS
This guitar uses three single-coil pickups. You get a bright, clear tone that works well for country, blues, and funk styles. The 5-way switch lets you combine these pickups in different ways. This setup is ideal if you want a classic, dynamic voice. It is distinct from humbucker setups that offer heavier, thicker sounds. You can tailor your tone using the volume and tone controls on the body.
Included Amp Wattage: 5W
The kit includes a 5-watt amplifier. This power level is sufficient for home practice and small rooms. It provides a tube-style sound in a compact body. You can connect external devices via the aux input for jamming along. A headphone jack allows for quiet practice without disturbing others. This wattage is standard for beginner amps and is suitable for learning without needing high volume.
size: 39"
This is a 39-inch scale length guitar. It is smaller than a standard full-size instrument. This size is designed specifically for beginners or younger players. The shorter scale makes fretting notes easier for smaller hands. It helps reduce hand strain during long practice sessions. You should consider this size if you find standard guitars too large or difficult to reach comfortably.
model: HSTK-100
This model number identifies the specific kit configuration. It denotes the Rookie Series with the STK-100 guitar body. This designation helps you find the exact product listing and accessories. It distinguishes this all-in-one package from other Leo Jaymz models. When shopping, use this model to ensure you get the correct gig bag, amp, and accessories included in this specific bundle.

The kit provides a complete starting point with a 5W amplifier, a digital tuner, a capo, a strap, extra strings, picks, and an amp cable. You do not need to purchase additional items to start playing. The guitar features a 5-way switch and separate tone and volume controls. These allow you to adjust the sound from the classic SSS pickup configuration. The amplifier includes two tone channels for simple sound shaping. You can connect external audio sources via the 1/8" aux input to practice along with tracks. For quiet sessions, the 1/8" headphone jack lets you listen without external speakers. What You Need To Know Before Buying
This kit is a complete package, but you should still verify your home setup. The included 5W amplifier has a 1/8" headphone jack for quiet practice. It also features an aux input for connecting phones or CD players. Ensure your devices use standard 1/8" cables to jam along. You may want to buy additional strings eventually, as the kit includes only one set. The ultra-slim C-shaped neck is designed for smaller hands, making it ideal for beginners or younger players. However, if you have large hands, the 39-inch scale might feel cramped. Compare this against full-size models if you plan to play for many years. The vintage tremolo bridge requires basic maintenance to stay in tune. Keep the guitar clean and store it in the padded gig bag when not in use. This option suits those who want an all-in-one solution without buying separate parts.
Check before you buy

- Check if your hand size fits the 39-inch scale comfortably.
