You get consistent dimensions, with lengths around 41.9 inches and widths near 17.7 inches. Weight varies slightly, from 10.4 to 11.2 pounds. Color options include Transparent Violet Sunburst and Metallic Light Blue. No five-string or eight-string options appear here. There are no bare bodies without amps. If you need a specific scale length or a different string count, this list does not cover those gaps.
How to Choose the Right Ibanez Kit
-
Check String Count
Decide if you need six or seven strings. The Ibanez GRG7221M offers seven strings for extended-range playing. This adds a low B string for heavier genres. If you are a beginner, six strings are standard. The GRX70QA uses six strings. Choose based on your genre and skill level. More strings require more finger stretching. They also change the neck width slightly. Check the product attributes for the exact count.
-
Verify Bundle Contents
Ensure the kit includes an amplifier if you need one. The GRX70QA is a bundle with an amp. This is practical for beginners who lack gear. You get a complete starter solution in one box. The GRG7221M is also a ready-to-play bundle. It includes essential accessories for immediate use. Buying separately can be costly and complex. Check the size description for bundle details. This saves you time and ensures compatibility.
-
Assess Guitar Weight
Consider the weight for comfort during long sessions. The GRX70QA weighs 10.4 pounds. The GRG7221M weighs 11.2 pounds. The extra weight comes from the seven-string setup. Heavier guitars may cause shoulder strain. Lighter instruments are easier to hold for hours. Check the specs for the exact weight. This matters if you play standing up. It also affects balance and neck dive. Choose the weight that feels best for you.
-
Review Dimensions
Look at the length and width for fit. Both models share similar dimensions. The length is 41.9 inches for both. The width is 17.7 inches for both. The height is 3.35 inches for both. These standard sizes ensure comfortable handling. The GRG7221M has a slightly wider neck due to seven strings. Check the specs to confirm the fit. This helps if you have smaller hands. Consistent dimensions make switching between models easier.
-
Select Your Color
Pick a finish that matches your style. The GRX70QA comes in Transparent Violet Sunburst. This adds visual appeal to the kit. The GRG7221M is available in Metallic Light Blue. Color does not affect tone or playability. It is a personal preference choice. Bright finishes stand out on stage. Sunburst finishes offer a classic look. Check the color spec before buying. This ensures the guitar looks how you want it to.
